The Role of Technical Assistance to Support Caribbean PDBs in Mainstreaming Gender and Climate

Caribbean PDBs are key to promoting and fostering gender equitable finance, as well as
climate finance in the region, two thematic areas increasingly gaining traction. They receive
technical assistance (TA) from donors, MDBs, and international organizations in order to
reach their goals in mainstreaming gender and climate across and within their institutions. This
session will discuss how this TA materializes in practice, how PDBs benefit from the existing
TA that is on offer, and their future TA needs with regards to gender and climate.

This session relates to the Summit’s main topics of SME and financial inclusion, as Financial and non-financial solutions developed by PDBs to improve access to financing for women owned SMEs. It also covers the topic of PDB’s institutional agenda, as TA supports banks in achieving a sustainable transformation.
