Access to reliable data on digital financial literacy (DFL) is a persistent challenge in the Pacific. Many stakeholders, including policymakers, financial service providers, and development partners, require data-driven insights to design and implement effective financial literacy initiatives. Recognizing this gap, the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), in collaboration with Griffith University, has developed the Digital Financial Literacy (DFL) Portal.
The portal consolidates findings from the Digital Financial Literacy Baseline Survey conducted by UNCDF across seven Pacific countries—Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands. This initiative aims to provide accessible, real-time data to stakeholders, fostering informed decision-making and enhancing digital financial inclusion efforts in the region.
Objective of the Webinar
The primary objective of this webinar is to introduce stakeholders to the newly developed DFL Portal, demonstrate its functionality, and showcase how it can support data-driven policy and program development. The session will also highlight the importance of digital financial literacy in achieving broader financial inclusion and economic empowerment goals.
